The Nigerian international is reportedly close to signing a deal with the former Serie A Champions, but it is now in danger of falling through
Lille striker Victor Osimhen may still not end up at Napoli despite having and passing a medical at the club last weekend.
The Super Eagles star’s future has dragged all summer, but it appeared it would be settled after having a medical in Italy.
However, according to Liverpool Echo via Corriere Dello Sport, the move could be hijacked by Liverpool who have been sounded out by Osimhen’s new agent, William D’Avila.
The 21-year-old changed his agent who initially brokered the deal with Napoli as he was not satisfied with his conduct during negotiations.
D’Avila was then brought in for new negotiations, and it appears the French agent is not too convinced Napoli is the right destination for his client.
Liverpool have always been linked with the Nigerian, and reports claim D’Avila believes Anfield is a more suitable destination for the Lille hotshot.
