He is currently enjoying a fine season with Club Brugge, but Emmanuel Dennis could be playing Premier League football soon after reports emerged that Newcastle are set to make a move for him.

According to Daily Record, the Magpies have identified the 22-year-old has the man to solve their striking woes. Steve Bruce’s side are one of the lowest scorers in the Premier League with just 20 goals all season.

With his side struggling in front of goal, the former Sunderland manager is interested in the Nigeria international whose finest moment came in Club Brugge’s 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League clash between the two sides.

The 22-year-old scored a brace on that occasion as ‎Philippe Clement picked up an unlikely point at the home of the 13-time European Champions.

Dennis joined Brugge from Ukranian side Zorya Luhansk in 2017. He has made 26 appearances for them, scoring eight goals.
