Following the departure of Nacho Monreal to Real Sociedad, Arsenal are set to lose another player this summer after reports emerged Henrik Mkhitaryan is set to complete a loan deal to Serie A club, AS Roma.

The Armenian international joined Arsenal from Manchester United in a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez in January 2018 but his performances have been underwhelming.

And with him being one of the highest earners at the Emirates, Arsenal have decided to ship him off to Roma who will pay his wages, but do not have the option to buy him permanently.

According to BBC, the former Dortmund’s star will join the Giallorossi on loan after Emery informed him he won’t get enough chances at the club this season

The Spaniard intends to give more minutes to youngsters this season, hence the reason why he is letting Mkhitaryan leave on loan.

Meanwhile, the club are still open to the idea of letting Mustafi leave before the transfer window shuts. The Germany international is surplus to requirements and Emery is ready to let him leave if a suitable offer comes in.
