Real Madrid is ahead of Barcelona in the race to Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, according to report.
Los Blancos management has already held talks with the defender’s agent and has reportedly gone ahead of Barcelona to register their interest in the Slovak defender.
The La Liga Champions suffered a disappointing campaign in the domestic scene and the Champions League remain the only hope to win a major trophy this season.
The club’s president is ready to overhaul the squad this summer and according to report the Perez is set to axed senior members of the squad.
As they hunt for a new centre-back to partner captain Sergio Ramos at the centre back position and Skriniar has been the player in the view of Perez to partner Ramos after an impressive campaign with Inter Milan according to Don Balon.
And their sources in Italy indicate Perez looks to have the better of Nou Camp chief Josep Maria Bartomeu for the services of the Inter Milan defender.
Perez is said to have ‘already held talks with Skriniar’s agent’ regarding a possible move.
