Mina replaces Messi for Malaga game

Barcelona have confirmed that Lionel Messi has been ruled out of Saturday’s La Liga trip to Malaga for ‘personal reasons.’

Messi was named in the squad on Friday but will now miss the game, with Yerry Mina taking his place in the travelling party.

The Argentine’s absence is, of course, a huge blow for Barcelona particularly as he is in such brilliant form.

He has five goals and two assists in his last five games, but Barcelona will have to make do without Messi on Saturday.
