Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard concedes he expected an offer from Barcelona this month.

Hazard, speaking with HLN, admits he could see Barca trying to sign him as a replacement for Neymar after hisworld record move to PSG.

“It certainly had been possible,” said Hazard. “But I only had one goal in mind: fight back after my first heavy injury.

“Yes, maybe. But I thought, in the first place, to get fit again. For each player leaving, there must be others in place.Certainly at the big clubs. I could havebeen that, or it could have been someone else. But I feel good at Chelsea. I’m starting my sixth year here and I’m just as motivated to play for Chelsea.

“Asked about Neymar’s world record €222m fee, Hazard was asked how much he would be worth.

“Hmmm … 300 million euros maybe? No, I do not know how much I am worth.

“It depends on the market. Neymar is a Brazilian, with a lot of talent, one year younger than me and he played at Barcelona. The price also depends on your contract and a number of other things. We will see how much I am worth when I’m transferred one day.”

He is a great player…And Barcelona should have signed him, but they were in a trap by Liverpool.

Chelsea will never release him. His contract has no release clause so, it would have been impossible.
