Neymar to renew Barcelona contract until 2021

FC Barcelona have announced two good news to ease off the stress of the Monday off Barça fans as they announced the renewals of Javier Mascherano and Neymar.

The club took to their official website to announce that 24-year old Brazilian Neymar will sign a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2021, 5 years from now, a move which puts a close to rumours surrounding his future at the club.

Neymar joined Barça in 2014 and has since then found great success manning the red and blue of Barcelona. He’s won all possible titles with Barça after just three seasons and has nine in total. He also featured in the 2016 Ballon d’Or podium where he finished 3rd behind Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The technically gifted winger has grown to be among the best players in the world and he will officially put pen to paper on Friday, October 21, 2016.. a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2021. Neymar has featured in 149 games for Barça, scoring 90 goals.

MASCHERANO RENEWS UNTIL 2019

Javier Mascherano was close to leaving FC Barcelona in the summer but chose to stay, and it was later confirmed that he’s agreed to extend his Barcelona contract through the 2018/2019 season after rejecting mega offers to join Chinese clubs.

The Argentine already agreed to sign an extension and it was announced by Barcelona that the contract will officially be signed on Monday (today). Mascherano has finally put pen to paper on Monday morning at the club offices and his signature strikes a mark on a paper that ties him to the club until June 30, 2019.

Mascherano joined FC Barcelona in 2010 from Liverpool, although his original position is at defensive midfield, the player has thrived in central defence for the Catalan giants, winning 17 trophies during his time whilst featuring in 290 games under four different managers. He’s grown into becoming Barça’s 4th captain due to his fighting spirit and leadership qualities on and off the pitch.
