FC Barcelona have announced that they will officially present new signing Paco Alcacer as a new FC Barcelona player on Thursday, September 8th, 2016.
Barça announced the signing of Paco Alcacer on August 30, 2016 after a very long saga that even looked like it was going to hold the deal. The 23-year old striker has already passed his medical at the club and have put pen to paper, signing a 5-year contract that will see him tied at the Camp Nou until June 30, 2021.
All that is left is for Alcacer to be officially presented to the Camp Nou crowd as a new Barça player and the Catalan club have taken to their official website to announce that it will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2017. The player will not only be presented to the fans, but he will also have his first official press conference as a Blaugrana whilst also taking official photoshoots.
Here is the schedule for Paco Alcacer’s official presentation on Thursday, September 8, 2016 as stated in Barça’s official website:
12:00pm CET: There will be a private ceremony by President Josep Maria Bartomeu welcoming Alcacer, in the presidential box at the Camp Nou.
12:30pm CET: Official photo session at the Camp Nou stadium. Public access will be allowed to the stands an hour before the session.
1:30pm CET: Alcacer will have his first official public press conference, accompanied by Club vice president Jordi Mestre, technical secretary Robert Fernandez and sporting director Albert Soler.
One should note that Paco Alcacer is already a Barça player, he has signed his contract and was bought for €30 million plus an additional €2 million in variables. The 23-year old Spaniard is currently with the Spanish National side on international duty and will arrive at Barcelona as soon as he is through serving his nation for the moment. There is a possibility he makes his debut against Alaves this weekend.
