Europe Round-up: Ojo scores as Ighalo, Ndidi, Emenike feature

It was another day of football in Europe as there were so much eye catching games and mouthwatering clashes in the League coupled with some cagey games in various subdivisions across Europe as Nigerian players abroad were not left out as they represented their respective clubs with different level of Performance.
We highlight these Nigerian players as we take a voyage across Europe. SoccerNet Nigeria captures the performance of these Nigerian players abroad on Saturday.
IN ENGLAND
At the Vitality Stadium, host AFC Bournemouth lost -3 to visiting Stoke City as Osaze Odemwimgie was on the bench for the entire duration of the game.
Odion Ighalo lasted the distance for the entire 90 minutes as Watford claimed a 2-1away win at Crystal Palace courtesy of a brace from Captain Troy Deeney (16minutes [pen])and (82minute) of the game.
At Goodison Park, Victor Anichebe replaced goal scorer Jose Salomon Rondon as Everton lost 0-1 at home to West Bromwich Albion.
West Ham duo of Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike came in for Alex Song in the 63rd minute and Michael Antonio in the 70th minute of the game respectively as West Ham came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw with host Norwich City.
John Obi Mikel lasted the entire duration of the game on the bench as sparkling Chelsea defeat Newcastle United 5-1 at Stamford Bridge.
ENGLAND (CHAMPIONSHIP)
Anglo-Nigeria and QPR defender Nedum Onuoha lasted the distance as QPR lost 1-3 at home to Fulham. Onuoha was booked (Yellow Card) in the 48th minute of the game.
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Hope Akpan was not listed in Rovers match day squad while Hull City’s Chuba Akpom came in for Uruguay’s Abel Hernandez in the 76minutes while Omatsone Aluko was not listed in Hull City’s match day Squad as Hull City defeat Blackburn Rovers 0-2.
Bolton Wanderers and Anglo-Nigerian defender Derik Osede Prieto lasted the distance in the heart of the defence as Brighton & Hove Albion defeated visiting Bolton Wanderers 3-2.
Talented Anglo-Nigerian left back Jordan Obita lasted the entire duration of the game as his club side Reading drew 0-0 with visiting Burnley. Jordan Obita was booked in the 70th minute of the game.
Wolves shot stopper Carl Ikeme was in goal for the entire duration of the game while Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa also lasted the distance as Wolverampton Wanderers lost 1-2 to Preston North End in the Championship.
Elsewhere, Cardiff City’s Sammy Ameobi was given his marching orders in the 90th minutes for a second bookable offence. He was first booked at 45 minutes of the game as Charlton Athletic was held to a goalless draw by Cardiff City.
IN SPAIN
Returning Ikechukwu Uche made a late debut appearance for Malaga as he replaced Juan Pablo Anor Acosta in the 84th minutes as they lost to Villarreal 1-0 courtesy of an 18th minute strike from Roberto Soldado.
SPAIN (DIVISION)
Kalu Uche came on for Quique (Enrique Gonzalez Casin) in the 68th minute of the game while teammate Ramon Azeez was not listed in match day squad as their club UD Almeria lost 0-2 to FC Lugo.
IN GERMANY
Anthony Ujah lasted the distance for Werder Bremen as they drew 1-1 with visiting Hoffenheim as goals from Croatia’s Andrej Kramaric and Chelsea loanee Papy Djilobodji in the 10th and 13th minute ensured a share of the spoils.
IN FRANCE
Vincent Enyeama lasted the entire duration of the game between the sticks as they held French Giants Paris Saint German to a goalless drew (0-0).Enyeama was booked in the 87th minute of the game.
IN HOLLAND
Williem II duo of Bartholomew Ogbeche and Anglo- Nigerian (Belgium-born) midfielder Funso Ojo lasted the entire 90 minute of the game as Williem II were held 0-0 by De Graafschap FC.
Elsewhere Vitesse Dominic Solanke was not listed in match day squad while Anglo-Nigerian center back Kenneth Otigba lasted the distance for SC Heerenveen as they 3-0 to host Vitesse. Otigba was booked in the 70th minute of the game.
IN BELGIUM
Anderlecht’s duo of Imoh Ezekiel and Stefano Chuka Okaka was on the bench for the entire duration of the game while Zulte-Waregem attacking midfielder Chuks Aneke was not listed in the match day squad as Belgium giants Anderlecht mauled visiting Zulte-Waregem 3-0.
Nigerian forward Kim Ojo scored in the 69th minute to bring Oud-Heverlee back to level terms at 2-2 as Oud-Heverlee drew 3-3 with Lokeren in a six goal thriller.
Super Eagles materials Onyinye Ndidi lasted the distance as his club side Genk wipe washed Waasland-Beveren 6-1.
IN SCOTLAND
Celtic’s Efe Ambrose was missing in action as Celtic defeated Ross County 2-0 courtesy of two goals from Deryck Boyata and Leigh Griffiths in the 45th minutes and 57th minutes of the game respectively.
Kilmarnock Temitope Ayoluwa Tope Obadeyi lasted 72nd minute and was replaced by Adam Frizzell as Kilmarnock defeated Motherwell 2-0 away from home. He was booked in the 51st minute of the game.
INTERNATIONAL-CLUB FRIENDLIES
Paul Onuachu was on target for FC Midtjylland in their 4-2 win over AC Horsens. He featured alongside exciting winger Rilwan Hassan in the game.
IN GREECE
Olympiakos forward Aide Brown Ideye lasted the distance as they lost to host AEK Athens 1-0.
IN TURKEY
Aminu Umar lasted the entire 90minutes for Osmanlispor FK and made an assist for Raul Andrei Rusescu to give Osmanlispor the lead in the 64th minute as Osmanlispor FK drew 1-1 with host Konyaspor.
