Osimhen has caught the eyes of many top European, but it seems Napoli has a good succession plan
Italian Serie A high-flyers Napoli are planning to sign Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund if Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen leaves.
Osimhen has been brilliant for Napoli this season. They have registered 20 goals and four assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
His displays have turned heads in Europe with various clubs looking to prise him away from Naples. Osimhen has been linked to Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. But his suitors may find it difficult to secure his services as Napoli want a mega fee for the deal.
Nonetheless, Napoli are not sitting on their oars, and they have started making plans in case Osimhen leaves. Napoli Magazine reports that the club has their sights set on Atalanta star Hojlund.
The young Danish striker just joined La Dea from Stum Graz last summer for €17.2million, and he has been impressive this season. He has six goals and two assists in 19 Serie A appearances for Atalanta.
Real Madrid and Arsenal have also been linked with the 20-year-old. As such, La Dea may hold out for a big fee.
