FC Nantes forward, Moses Simon, has expressed his joy at being a Nigerian player in the UEFA Europa League.
The Ligue 1 team will travel to Italy on Thursday to face Juventus in the opening leg of their Europa League Round-16 match at the Juventus Stadium.
The quick-footed Nigerian has said that competing against the Old Ladies is wonderful and that his countrymen would cheer his side.

Prior to the tie, the Nigerian international spoke to UEFA.com and expressed his excitement.
“It’s a great joy for me, for my family, my parents, because we know that it’s not easy to hoist the Nigerian flag green, white, green,” he said.
Numerous Nigerian players, including Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Samuel Chukwueze, Kanu Nwankwo, and Taribo West, have competed in and won the Europa League.
Speaking about this, the €9.00m rated Super Eagles star demonstrated his courage as a Nigerian playing against the two-time Europa League champions.
“Many Nigerians have already participated in European competitions, and I am now one of them. We know it’s a great club, so it’s just magical to play Juve. And if we win, all Nigerians will be happy and proud of the team, especially of me as a Nigerian.” he said.
The Canaries will be looking forward to grabbing all three points against the struggling Juventus side as they lock horns on Thursday night, at 9 p.m. Nigerian time.
