The Nigerian striker was on target for his side, but Lorient fell short at the death
Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi scored for Lorient, but his effort was insufficient as his side fell to a 2-1 loss against PSG.
PSG were without the services of Argentine talisman Lionel Messi when they traveled to Lorient.
Les Merlus boss Le Bris opted to start Super Eagles stars Moffi and Innocent Bonke.
PSG were the better team from the start, and they needed just nine minutes to open the scoring.
Hugo Ekitike set up Neymar, who promptly slotted into the net to make it 1-0 for the Parisians.
However, Moffi came up big for his side, netting the equalizer in the 53rd minute.
Lorient built on the momentum after scoring, pressing PSG, and restricting the Ligue 1 champions from creating chances.
Unfortunately for Lorient, they could not hold out for long, as PSG regained their lead in the 81st minute with a powerful header from Danilo Pereira off an assist from Neymar.
Lorient tried to get an equalizer, but PSG showed Champions stuff holding out for the 2-1 win.
Moffi’s goal was his first in his first start since he returned from injury. The Super Eagles hitman now has nine goals in 13 league games.
Bonke also had a decent outing in midfield. The former Malmo man registered 59 touches, a 95 percent pass accuracy, two clearances, and two tackles.
