Frank Onyeka was denied his first Premier League goal as Brentford and Newcastle played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in their clash at St. James Park.
The Super Eagles star came on in the 59th minute for Saman Ghoddos and thought he had put Brentford ahead again, but his effort was credited as a Jamal Lascelles own goal.
Brentford got off to a bad start as Lascelles put the Magpies ahead in the tenth minute.
But Thomas Frank’s men drew level two minutes later through Ivan Toney before Rico Henry’s strike gave them the lead in the 31st minute.
However, Joelinton levelled the scores for the home side just before half-time. The second half resumed with both sides going for it.
And it was Brentford that went ahead again as substitute Onyeka effort was directed into the net by Lascelles. However, Allan Saint-Maximin’s strike 15 minutes from time ensured both sides shared the spoil.
Meanwhile, at the Vicarage Road, Emmanuel Dennis scored the fourth goal as Watford stunned Manchester United 4-1 to pile more misery on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
