Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, has been voted the best foreign player in the Israeli Ligat Haal for the outgone 2014/2015 season.
The Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder, who joined the Super Eagles team ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad on Tuesday, was announced on Tuesday as the winner of the award organised by Isreali Sports Media outfit, Ynet Sports.
The award was arrived at by the media outfit calling for nominations from fans on its website. Ogu got the highest nominations over the other players and was announced the winner on Ynet’s twitter handle.
“Hapoel Beer Sheva and Nigeria Natioanl team MF @ogujohnugo was voted as the @ynetsport best foreign player of the year,” the tweet on its handle read.
Meanwhile, the Ogu has expressed his appreciation to the organisers of the award and his fans, who voted for him on the award.
