Super Eagles assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has expressed delight at having players return to the team’s camp after featuring in games over the weekend for their respective clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
As at the last count, seven of the players had returned from representing their clubs to the Eagles camp, and Agu says it is a good thing the players have returned early so they can continue with their preparation for the game against Tanzania.[post_ad]
“I’m happy the players are coming back from their clubs. It is important we continue our program and preparation because we do not really have too much time again.
“We have a very important game against Tanzania next month and against Burkina Faso in October, so we have to knock the boys into shape.
“It’s a different setting now and we have to get the boys to understand what we want,” he said.
Agu has been working with only Femi Thomas of Enyimba and Ikechukwu Ezenwa of Sunshine Stars, following the injury to David Obiozor of Heartland, which ruled him out of the team.
