The Serie A giants have emerged as one of the biggest admirers of the Nigerian youngster, but his agent insists they have no chance of securing his signature.
Victor Osimhen will not be joining Inter Milan or any Italian team in the summer or beyond because of the terrible nature of racism in Italy, says the agent of the Lille forward, Jean-Gérard Benoit Czajka.
Osimhen has gone from being a spectacular flop rejected by the likes of Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge to a renowned goal-getter attracting interests from major clubs across Europe.
In his debut campaign in France, Osimhen has smashed in 18 goals and provided six assists to erase all doubts surrounding his ability.
And despite Lille insisting that the 21-year-old is not for sale this summer, La Liga sides Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as English clubs Liverpool and Manchester United, are pulling strings to sign a player Odion Ighalo called the ‘future of Nigeria football.’
Italian giants AC Milan and Internazionale are two of the latest clubs reported to have identified Osimhen has a possible transfer target.
But the youngster’s agent has dismissed Inter’s interests while stating that racism would not let the Nigerian consider moving to Italy.
Responding to a question regarding whether Inter’s interest is real, Czajka told the InterDipendenza.net:
“Absolutely not, there is nothing. I don’t think he (Osimhen) can continue his development in Italy, where there is a serious problem: racism”.
Osimhen joined Lille last August for €12 million, but his market value has more than doubled to €27 million, as per transfermarkt.
