Barcelona Femenina star Asisat Oshoala has taken to Twitter to celebrate her inclusion in Forbes 30 under 30 Africa list.
FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list is an exclusive list of 30 successful African youths under the age of 30 who ‘are the continent’s revolutionary thinkers, revitalizing ideas and industries with fresh business models and innovative leadership.’
It’s no surprise that Oshoala made the list, the former Arsenal Ladies forward having sealed her legacy as one of the greatest ever players from the continent.
At just 25, the Super Falcons skipper has been voted African Women’s Footballer of the Year four times and was bestowed the national honour – Member of the Order of the Niger – when she was still a teenager.
Success has followed Oshoala everywhere with the Nigerian adding an FA Cup winners medal at Arsenal and a Chinese Women Super League title at Dalian Quanjian to a Supercopa de Espana at Barcelona.
In recognizing her feat, Forbes wrote on their website:
“(Oshoala) has built a successful career and become a titan of Nigerian football.
“On the pitch, with speed, technique, and balance, Oshoala is definitely a keeper.
A delighted Oshoala revealed on her Twitter handle that she would be ‘forever grateful’ for the recognition.
