New coach Unia Emery names Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi in Arsenal 25-man squad for a pre-season tour to Singapore.
The 22-year-old Nigerian was included in the travelling party to Asia despite missing the start of pre-season training due to his participation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
According to a report on the club’s official website, Iwobi will be joined for the trip by Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil, and Egypt international Mohamed Elneny who are returning from World Cup duty in Russia.
Gunners quad leaves London on Sunday to play two matches in Singapore as part of the International Champions Cup.
They will face Atletico Madrid on Thursday, July 26 before tackling Paris Saint Germain on Saturday, July 28 with both matches kicking off at 5.30pm local time.
New signings Bernd Leno, Sokratis and Matteo Guendouzi are all in the travelling squad, as well as many first-team regulars such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin, Petr Cech, Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Alexandre Lacazette, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Shkodran Mustafi and Aaron Ramsey.
