Mina and Gomes join Everton |
Well, that might just be the harshest title there is but it’s practically what FC Barcelona have just done, offload two players who didn’t have a place in a world-class team if they’re serious about fighting for the most prestigious of trophies in the 2018/2019 season.
FC Barcelona have announced officially on their website and social media pages that defender Yerry Mina and midfielder Andre Gomes have joined English club Everton FC. According to the report on FC Barcelona official website, Yerry Mina will sign for the blues for 30.25 million euros with an additional 1.5 million in variables while Barca reserve the right to buy back the player in future. The defender signed for Barca in January but found it hard to get favour in coach Ernesto Valverde’s eye and will be on his way out for a good amount thanks for his stellar world cup performance.
In other similar news, midfielder Andre Gomes who hasn’t really impressed since his arrival three seasons ago has been sent on loan to Everton with the Merseyside club agreeing to pay Barcelona 2.5 million for the deal to go through and they will also take care of his wages.
Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina joins Lucas Digne in Everton and the trio will fight for silverwares together in the 2018/2019 season.
