Arsenal are believed to have started talks to sign Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru from Belgian club K.A.S Eupen.
The 19-year-old has a release clause of £6.8 million and is a passionate Arsenal fan who has previously stated that it is his dream to play for the Gunners.
Everton, Southampton, West Ham United and Middlesbrough are also attempting to sign Onyekuru, as reported by Sky Sports.
Onyekuru finished the season as the joint-highest scorer in the Belgian top flight with 22 goals although the trophy was given to Anderlecht’s Lukasz Teodorczyk, who scored more away goals.
Across all competitions in the 2016/17 season the Nigerian has netted 24 times in 41 games.
A graduate of the Aspire Academy, Onyekuru joined Eupen in 2015 and, after featuring for the club in the Belgian second division in his first season, subsequently stepped up to impress in the first division this campaign.
Arsenal, who will play in the Europa League next season after failing to secure a top four finish, are widely expected to sign Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer when his contract expires on July 1st.
