The Nigerian international has been one of the most exciting stars to arrive in any of Europe’s big five leagues this season
Serie A giants Juventus could be interested in making a move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, Soccernet.ng reports.
Boniface is considered an ideal replacement for Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic should he decide to leave Juventus.
Juventus are reportedly working at extending the contract of Vlahovic. However, the former Italian champions are open to letting him leave should an offer of no less than 75 million euros materialise.
Real Madrid are believed to be the biggest admirer of the former Fiorentina star, as they are eager to bolster their striking options by adding the talented forward.
According to Blasting News, should Vlahovic’s departure come to fruition, Juventus would move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Boniface as his replacement.
The 23-year-old forward has been a delight to watch this season, smashing in ten goals across the German Bundesliga, the DFB Pokal, and the Europa League while also providing four assists to his teammates.
In only his first few months in Germany, having arrived from Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise, Boniface has already claimed two Rookie of the Month and one Bundesliga Player of the Month awards.
As per Transfermarkt, Boniface is now Nigeria’s second most valuable player at 40 million euros, behind only Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
It is unlikely that Bayer Leverkusen will sanction his departure in January, with the club challenging for the league title and impressing on the continent.
