Some of the Super Eagles players have touched down at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, ahead of the AFCON qualifier on Sunday.
Ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers game against São Tomé and Príncipe, some of the Super Eagles stars have arrived at the training camp, Soccernet.ng reports.
The match will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom, on Sunday 10th September, and Soccernet.ng can exclusively report that the following players have touched down at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom.
Jordan Torunhariga, who recently switched allegiance to Nigeria from Germany, is among the first players to arrive, and the twenty-six-year-old Gent defender might be set for his Super Eagles debut on Sunday, alongside club teammate and star striker, Gift Orban, who has been on fire in 2023, scoring twenty-six goals in thirty-one games so far for his club side.
Omonia F.C. goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, Empoli full-back – Tyronne Ebuehi, Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper- Adebayo Adeleye, Boavista’s Bruno Onyemaechi, Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, and Club Brugge’s Raphael Onyedika, are all reported to be present already.

The camp still awaits Olorunleke Ojo, Ola Aina, William Troos Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Jamilu Collins, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Ayodele-Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro will be in charge of the team until the end of next year’s AFCON tournament at least, after taking a pay-cut to get his contract renewed.
