Out-of-favour Nigerian forward, Emmanuel Dennis, could be on the move to Italy after Udinese picked interest in the Nottingham Forest star.
Yet to make an appearance on the pitch this season, and even absent from the Nottingham Forest’s bench, Udinese have picked interest in Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis, Soccernet.ng reports.
Soccernet.ng reported earlier that Dennis kept his mind open to a move away from the City Ground, but only within the confines of Europe after rumours linking him with clubs in Saudi Arabia surfaced, but the striker refused.
So far, after three games this season, the twenty-five-year-old has found himself on the fringe of the team, with all the signs heading towards an exit for the former Watford man.
Nottingham Forest are looking to trim their squad after completing quite a number of recruits this summer, and a sale is on the cards for the club, to keep the squad balanced.
Dennis has previously been linked with a move to several clubs. Most notably Leeds United and Italian and Ademola Lookman’s side, Atalanta, but according to Gianluca Di Marzio , Udinese have made an offer to lure the seven-capped Nigerian International away from Nottingham Forest.
However, Di Marzio specifically indicates that the Serie A side might have a hard time completing the deal, as other clubs are also looking at Dennis as the player who could suit their team style and aid their attack, thereby creating competition for Udinese.
Di Marzio also mentioned that Saudi clubs are still interested in the striker, should he have a change of heart concerning the move, and should the move to Udinese stall, Udinese have a back-up in the person of former Liverpool striker, Divok Origi, but Dennis is their primary target.
Dennis’s Teammate at both club and National team level, Taiwo Awoniyi, has been in fine form for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and is currently on a scoring run, scoring in his last seven games in the league, a run that dates as far back as last season.
