The Nigeria international had a debut to remember as the former Serie A champions laid their hands on their first title win of the season
Samuel Chukwueze’s AC Milan career has gotten to the perfect start after the Super Eagles winger helped the Rossoneri beat Monza on penalties to lift the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy.
Having only trained with the Milan first team for a couple of days, Chukuweze started on the bench for Milan at the U-Power Stadium in Monza.
In attack for the visitors, star forwards Rafa Leao and Olivier Giroud were joined by former Chelsea ace Christian Pulisic.
And it was the American forward who gave Milan the lead on the half-hour mark. But Monza struck back three minutes later through Andrea Colpani.

Chukwueze replaced Pulisic in the 79th minute as Milan looked for a late winner, but despite the introduction of the former Villarreal winger, the Rossoneri could not find a way past the Monza rear-guard.
Chukwueze had just enough time to make five touches and complete 75 per cent of his passes before the end of regulation time. Penalties followed, with Milan scoring six of their kicks while Monza managed to net only five. Chukwueze was not among Milan’s penalty-takers.
After their triumph against Monza, Milan will turn their attention to preparing for the start of the new Serie A season.
Stefano Pioli’s men have two friendlies scheduled against Trento and Novara before kicking off their first league match away to Bologna on August 21.
