Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke could soon be on his way back to Belgian football, with Anderlecht now leading the race to sign the Sevilla player this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Belgian giants are reportedly preparing an offer worth €3.5 million, with bonuses expected to take the total package to €4 million. Sevilla are said to be ready to accept the deal as the Spanish club continues its efforts to raise money through player sales.
Ejuke joined Sevilla as a free agent in July 2024 after leaving CSKA Moscow. His current contract runs until 2027, but the La Liga club's financial situation means several players have been placed on the transfer market.

The 28-year-old Nigerian has also attracted interest from Fulham, Leeds United and Sunderland, but Anderlecht have moved ahead by preparing the first serious bid. Reports in Spain claim talks are progressing well and Sevilla are willing to complete the transfer if the Belgian side meets their asking price.
Belgium offers familiar ground for Super Eagles winger
A return to Belgium could help Super Eagles attacker Ejuke rediscover the form that first made him one of Europe's most exciting wingers.
His time at Sevilla has been disrupted by a groin injury and lack of playing time, limiting his impact. Last term, he managed 25 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist, numbers that fell well below expectations after arriving with high hopes.

Despite that disappointing campaign, Anderlecht believe the Nigerian still has the quality to make a difference in the Belgian Pro League.
Belgium is a league Ejuke already knows well. During the 2023-24 season, he impressed while on loan at Royal Antwerp, helping the club with five goals and four assists in 35 matches. Those performances reminded many of the exciting winger who had earlier starred for Heerenveen in the Netherlands and CSKA Moscow in Russia.
Ejuke's journey in Europe began when he left Gombe United for Norwegian side Vålerenga in 2017. He later earned moves to Heerenveen for around €2 million and then to CSKA Moscow in a deal reportedly worth €11.5 million before spending loan spells at Hertha Berlin and Royal Antwerp.
With Sevilla looking to balance their finances and Anderlecht pushing to strengthen their squad for next season, the Super Eagles winger appears closer than ever to making a return to Belgium.
