Getafe have made a key decision on the future of Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche ahead of the new season, Soccernet.ng reports.
Uche's future has been uncertain since he returned to Getafe following a difficult loan spell at Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The 23-year-old joined Palace on loan last summer after an impressive breakthrough campaign in La Liga. However, he struggled to establish himself in England and spent much of the season on the fringes of the first team.
He managed only a handful of appearances during his time at Selhurst Park. Despite his limited role, Uche received a UEFA Europa Conference League winners' medal after Crystal Palace defeated Rayo Vallecano in the final in May and also won the Goal of the Season award in the competition.

Now back at Getafe, the Super Eagles midfielder faces an uncertain future as the club weighs up its options for the summer transfer window.
Getafe open to selling Christantus Uche
Getafe are prepared to sanction Uche's departure as the club looks to balance its finances, despite the player's desire to remain and revive his career in Spain.
Although there had been discussions over keeping the midfielder, the club's financial situation and the growing interest from several clubs have changed their stance.
Speaking in an interview with Footy-Africa, a source close to the player revealed that Uche would prefer to stay at Getafe, but admitted the club is willing to listen to offers.

“Uche wants stability and would like to stay at Getafe and rebuild after what happened at Crystal Palace. But the issue is that Getafe need to raise funds and are exploring every opportunity to generate income while remaining financially stable,” the source said.
“It has not been an easy period for him, but he is fully focused on playing football again. His first choice is to stay in Spain because he enjoyed his time there and misses playing in La Liga. We all know Getafe are open to selling him, but only for a fee they believe reflects his value.
“There are clubs interested in signing him. I know of at least four from Germany, England and Spain.”
Where could the Super Eagles star end up at?
Uche's future has become one of the biggest talking points of the summer following his return to Getafe, with the midfielder carefully considering his next move as he looks to rediscover the form that first earned him a move abroad.
Several clubs are monitoring his situation, with interest coming from Spain, England and Germany.
Real Betis are understood to be among the leading contenders for his signature as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Fellow La Liga side Real Sociedad are also keeping tabs on the Super Eagles midfielder and could make a move if the right opportunity arises.

Meanwhile the likes of Everton and AC Milan have also shown interest as they target strengthening their squads ahead of next season.
With Getafe now willing to negotiate a transfer, Uche appears set to make another move this summer as he prepares for the next phase of his career.
