Serie A clubs Bologna and Fiorentina have joined the race to sign Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze this summer amid uncertainty over his future at AC Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze has become the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer following his return to the San Siro after a season-long loan spell at Premier League side Fulham.
The 27-year-old impressed during several spells of his time in England and was open to extending his stay at Craven Cottage. However, Fulham ultimately decided against making the move permanent, forcing the Nigerian international to return to Milan, where his future remains uncertain.
Turkish Cup winners Trabzonspor have also expressed interest in signing Chukwueze as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. They have already submitted a bid of €15 million as they aim to move quickly to complete a deal and potentially link him up with fellow Nigerians Chibuike Nwaiwu and Paul Onuachu in their squad.

However, the Super Eagles star is not keen on a move to Turkey at this stage of his career. Instead, he would prefer to remain in Italy and fight for his place at AC Milan, although an attractive offer from another top European club could still change his mind before the transfer window closes.
Chukwueze: Bologna and Fiorentina enter race for Super Eagles forward
According to reports from Italy, Bologna and Fiorentina have emerged as the latest clubs interested in signing Chukwueze this summer.
The Super Eagles winger is increasingly expected to leave San Siro following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as AC Milan's new head coach.

Although Chukwueze is eager to fight for his place, he has fallen down the pecking order at the club and the presence of several other attacking options has made a summer departure a realistic possibility.
With interest in his signature continuing to grow, the former Villarreal star could now be persuaded to move if the right opportunity presents itself.
The Super Eagles winger remains an attractive option because of his wealth of experience at the top level. He has proven himself in La Liga with Villarreal and also enjoyed an encouraging spells during his loan at Fulham, while he has also shown flashes of his quality at AC Milan.
Chukwueze’s pace, dribbling ability and creativity are qualities that are capable of improving the attacking options of either Bologna or Fiorentina, with the two Serie A clubs looking to strengthen their attack after inconsistent campaigns last season.

The Nigerian international could cost around €15 million and while he is reluctant to leave AC Milan, interest from other Serie A sides could be an appealing option.
The move would allow him to remain in a familiar league and would provide him with the opportunity to rediscover his best form and also re-establish himself among Europe's top wingers.
