Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze took part in his first AC Milan pre-season training session under new coach Rúben Amorim on Monday, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Super Eagles star's future has been a major source of concern in recent months. Recall that he spent last season on loan at Fulham and although he admitted he wanted to stay there permanently, the club ultimately chose to move on from him.
Following his return, several clubs like Trabzonspor, Bologna, and Fiorentina were linked with the Nigerian international, but those efforts were unsuccessful

There were fears that Chukwueze would not be considered by Amorim, who is known to be quite ruthless in how he sets up his squad. However, in his first interview in Milan, the former Manchester United coach confirmed that Chukwueze would be part of his team.
From his days at Old Trafford, Amorim developed a reputation as a coach who likes to rotate his squad. He immediately introduced a new experiment with Chukwueze during his first training session.
What did AC Milan's New Boss Amorim try with Chukwueze?

According to several reports from the Italian media, the AC Milan squad played two different practice matches during Amorim's first session on Monday.
The most notable development was that Chukwueze was deployed as a right wing-back in both matches. This offers a clear insight into how the Portuguese tactician plans to utilize the forward this season.
Due to the absence of a solid wing-back, the Super Eagles star will likely be deployed in that position if he can prove himself. This is the same thing Amorim did with Amad Diallo at Manchester United.
This will be a completely new experience for the Nigerian international, and it means he will have to work significantly harder if he wants to secure that position.

Chukwueze must improve his work rate, defensive contributions, and decision-making. It remains to be seen how he adjusts to this new role if Amorim ultimately decides to play him there next season.
