Nigeria’s Super Falcons have increased their squad number to 15 players as preparations gather pace ahead of two international friendlies against the Indomitable Lionesses in Yaoundé, Soccernet.ng reports.
The latest players to arrive in camp are AS Roma duo Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo, as well as Folashade Ijamilusi and Kafayat Shittu. The quartet joins 11 teammates who reported earlier in the week when camp officially opened.
Among the first group of arrivals were captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Gift Monday, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Oluwatosin Demehin and Christy Ucheibe, giving the coaching crew an early opportunity to begin preparations.

Nigeria held their first full training session at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo, where the technical team began tactical drills and fitness work. Team media officer Mary Catherine confirmed the session started at 6:00pm, marking the beginning of on-field preparations for the double-header.
The friendlies, scheduled for February 28 and March 3, are part of Nigeria’s build-up toward defending their continental crown at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Coaches are expected to use the matches to assess squad depth, test combinations and give opportunities to both experienced players and emerging talents.
More players are still expected to arrive as the squad gradually takes full shape in Cameroon.

Cameroon face uncertainty before friendly clash vs Super Falcons
While Nigeria continue to strengthen preparations, hosts Cameroon approach the friendlies amid uncertainty off the pitch.
The Indomitable Lionesses currently do not have a permanent head coach following the dismissal of Jean-Baptiste Bisseck in October 2025 after their qualification defeat to Algeria. Since then, the federation has yet to appoint a long-term replacement, raising concerns within Cameroonian football circles.
Despite the instability, Cameroon remain focused on preparing for the next Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which will be staged in Morocco. The team was reinstated into the tournament after the Confederation of African Football expanded the competition from 12 to 16 nations.
The Super Falcons lifted the WAFCON for a record-extending 10th time in Morocco last year and will be keen to retain the trophy next month. Cameroon are still in the hunt for their first continental crown after finishing as runners-up three times.
