Three Super Eagles stars, Stanley Nwabali and Akor Adams, have joined Bright Osayi-Samuel in trolling Morocco following their loss to Senegal in the AFCON 2025 final, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nigeria played against Morocco in the AFCON 2025 semi-final at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat. While Eric Chelle's men were impotent in attack, the referee didn't help either.
Ghanaian referee, Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea, didn't have the best performance, making a series of abysmal foul calls, the most ridiculous being Calvin Bassey's yellow card for a foul on Brahim Diaz, when in truth, the Moroccan winger pulled Bassey's shirt.
After the game, Akor Adams aired his displeasure in the mixed zone, while Osayi-Samuel described the officiating as ‘appalling'.

Nwabali, Akor Adams and Osayi troll Morocco following AFCON final loss
During Nigeria's game against Morocco, stewards were seen taking Stanley Nwabali's towel twice, while some of the fans threw bananas at the Chippa United goalkeeper in what was a very hostile atmosphere.
Why are they taking Nwabali’s towels?@CAF_Online are stewards now allowed to step into the field of play?
I didn’t know Moroccans are like this or ways really happening?pic.twitter.com/QKNVEWE2Ur https://t.co/ivfxnRWxaY

Last night in the final, the Moroccans repeated the same, this time with their captain Achraf Hakimi and PSV midfielder Ismael Saibari at the thick of it, throwing Edouard Mendy's towel out.
Mais ils ont quoi avec les serviettes des gardiens de but adverses ces marocains
Masterclass de Malick Diouf 💪🏾 qui a own Hakimi

Senegal's second-choice goalkeeper, Yehvann Diouf, stepped in to make sure Mendy's towel stayed with him, and the Moroccan stewards and ball boys attacked him.
The Senegalese player didn't allow the ball boys & officials to take Mendy's 3rd towel like Nwabali.

Ultimately, Pape Gueye's 96th-minute strike was enough to seal Senegal's AFCON title, and the bronze-winning Super Eagles stars joined to troll Morocco for their unsportsmanlike antics.

Stanley Nwabali took his X page to air his grievance, telling the Moroccans to use his towel to wipe their tears from losing the final.

Bright Osayi-Samuel and Akor Adams felt the deserving team won the game on the pitch, hinting that God vindicated Nigeria's loss by letting Senegal lift the trophy against the host nation.

Adams had mentioned he wasn't happy Nigeria had to settle for a bronze medal against Egypt, but was consoled that he didn't return to Sevilla empty-handed.
