Super Eagles new boy Ryan Alebiosu received some words of wisdom from experienced teammate Samuel Chukwueze before his debut in Nigeria's 3-1 victory over Uganda on Tuesday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Alebiosu was one of the fresh faces invited to the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

After watching Nigeria's first two matches against Tunisia and Tanzania from the sidelines, he earned his first international cap in the final group stage fixture against Uganda.

The 24-year-old defender put in a solid shift against the Cranes, balancing defensive discipline with an impressive work rate in attack.

Alebiosu played the full 90 minutes as Nigeria secured a 3-1 win, which ensured that the team topped their Group C with a perfect record of nine points.

Following the victory, a video surfaced on social media showing Chukwueze advising Alebiosu on how to handle the pressure of a debut.

The 26-year-old Fulham winger is a seasoned player in the Super Eagles squad, having made his international debut in 2018. Now, he boasts 53 appearances for the national team.

In the video, Chukwueze urged Alebiosu to push for a goal or an assist to immediately win over the supporters and establish himself in the fans' good books.

Samuel Chukwueze did not just talk the talk though, he also worked the work. He started with Alebiosu on the right side of Nigeria's attack, and he did a solid job.

The former Villarreal man got two assists against Uganda, in what was one of his finest performances for Nigeria.

Moving forward, Chukwueze and Ryan Alebiosu will be hoping that the Super Eagles will go all the way and win AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
