Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has jokingly threatened to spend hours conducting post-match interviews if he ever wins a Man of the Match award at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze saw seven minutes of action during Nigeria's 4-0 thrashing of Mozambique in the round of 16 on Monday.
However, the win had already been secured before his introduction, with goals from Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, and Victor Osimhen sealing the dominant win.

Lookman was named Man of the Match following a stellar performance in which he paired his goal with two assists.
He would have claimed a third assist, but for a slight touch from Akor Adams on a cross intended for Osimhen for Nigeria's second goal.
Following the victory, the squad was in high spirits, with several players and coach Chelle granting interviews in the mixed zone.

However, some players, including Samuel Chukwueze, kept their comments brief. The Fulham winger was among the first to board the team bus, but after waiting for nearly an hour, he started jokingly complaining about the delay and his growing hunger.

Chukwueze was seen poking fun at teammates like Ademola Lookman and Calvin Bassey, whose prolonged post match interviews were delaying the team's departure.

So far at AFCON 2025, Samuel Chukwueze has been the team joker, always lighting up the mood and easing the tension. This is also key for the team, because it helps the young lads and new boys feel relaxed.
His mood was also important, considering the altercation between Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman after the fixture.

Meanwhile, the Fulham star will be hoping that he gets more minutes at the 2025 AFCON. Eric Chelle started him in the Super Eagles' first and last game of the competition, but his other appearance was off the bench.
Chukwueze has looked good in all the games he has featured in, contributing both in attack and the defence.
