Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored a brace for Galatasaray to help them to a 3-2 victory over Samsunspor at Rams Park on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Going into the game, Osimhen had not scored in a Super Lig match since October 26, when he netted in Galatasaray's 2-1 win over Goztepe.
However, he ended his barren run with a solid showing in front of his home fans.

Leroy Sané opened the scoring for the Cimbom after just eight minutes. Then, in the 24th minute, Osimhen doubled their lead, assisted by Sané.
It looked like it was going to be a comfortable victory on the night. But Samsunspor pulled their acts together and prevented Galatasaray from creating more chances before the end of the first half.

In the second half, the visitors improved and started pressing for goals. They eventually pulled one back, courtesy of Anthony Musaba in the 56th minute.
In the last 20 minutes of the game, Galatasaray started to look nervy, and they eventually conceded the equalizer in the 88th minute, thanks to Emre Kılınç.
It seemed like the game was destined for a draw after that goal, but Super Eagles striker Osimhen had other ideas.
The former Napoli man snatched the late winner. He capitalized on a header from Yunus Akgün from inside the box and struck the ball with an acrobatic overhead kick. All Samsunspor's goalkeeper Okan Kocuk could do was watch the ball fly into the top right corner of his goal.

It was a nervy end to the game. Samsunspor even had a late penalty shout, but it was not given, despite a VAR review. The game eventually ended 3-2.
Champions League Battle Next For Galatasaray

Following their win over Samsunspor, Galatasaray will not turn their focus to the UEFA Champions League, where they face Monaco next Tuesday.
Whenever Victor Osimhen has played in the Champions League, Galatasaray have won. He missed the 1-0 loss to Royale Union SG, but he is fit now and ready to go.
They will be looking to grab all three points from the fixture at the Stade Louis II.
