After the second round of matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Group C is already shaping up for an exciting finish, Soccernet.ng reports.

With two wins from two games for the Super Eagles, the chaff is already distilling from the wheat as Eric Chelle's men have sealed qualification to the next round.

Tunisia are on good grounds with three points while Uganda and Tanzania are on a point apiece.

Ahead of the final group game, Soccernet.ng highlights the top five attackers who have made their mark in Group C after the opening two games.

AFCON 2025: Group C top five forwards

1. Ademola Lookman – Nigeria

The Atalanta forward lit up the AFCON 2023 tournament, and in the same year, was awarded the CAF Player of the Year Award.

After a slight dip in form in the last year, the AFCON 2025 stage has awakened the best in Lookman again. The 28-year-old is the leading goal contributor in Morocco with four.

He bagged a goal in Nigeria's 2-1 win against Tanzania, before setting up Victor Osimhen and Wilfried Ndidi against Tunisia.

The former Fulham forward also found the back of the net in that game, playing the entire Tunisian defence like a skilled guitarist, before blasting the ball home for Nigeria's third goal.

Ademola Lookman’s footwork was on another level, and it led straight to the goal.

2. Victor Osimhen – Nigeria

The Galatasaray forward was off his game in Nigeria's first game against Tanzania, making the easy chances hard to convert.

However, he settled into the rhythm in the Super Eagles' second game against Tunisia, scoring a brilliant header before setting up Ademola Lookman's goal at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

3. Elias Achouri – Tunisia

Achouri was devastating on the wing against Uganda, although he struggled to replicate the same form against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

His two goals against the Taifa Stars came from intelligent movement and ruthless finishing, underlining why he remains one of Tunisia’s most dangerous attacking outlets.

4. Simon Msuva – Tanzania

The 32-year-old winger troubled the Ugandan defenders severely until something broke. They conceded a penalty after he was fouled, and he tucked it away beautifully.

5. Travis Mutyaba – Uganda

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder played 77 minutes against Tanzania, recording a 97% pass accuracy, the highest recorded of any outfield player on the pitch.

Additionally, he created two clear-cut chances and was defensively involved as he made six recoveries.
