Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is the most-searched character in Turkey for the year 2025, Soccernet.ng reports.
This doesn't come as a surprise, as Osimhen has had a big year, especially at club level. In the first half of the year, he was banging in goals for Galatasaray. His brilliance was key in their Super Lig and Turkish Cup victory.
But the main drama was during the summer transfer window. His loan had ended at Galatasaray, and he had returned to his parent club Napoli.
There was a lot of talk around his transfer decision, as Osimhen was linked with several top clubs, including Galatasaray.
The deal eventually happened at the end of August, as the Cimbom paid a Turkish-record €75 million for his services. They also placed him on a monster salary package, the highest in Turkish football history.
Since his permanent move, he has been excellent for the Turkish kings, with three Super Lig goals in 10 appearances.
On the continent, he has also done well, with six goals in three UEFA Champions League appearances.
According to Zspor most of the top search items on Google in Turkey are related to football. While Osimhen tops the list for the second consecutive year, his Galatasaray teammates Mario Lemina and Leroy Sane are present.
Fenerbahçe's Talisca and Diego Carlos also made the list, alongside Houston Rockets big Alperen Sengun.

Victor Osimhen Set For Key AFCON 2025 With Nigeria
While he has been shining in Turkey, Victor Osimhen has struggled to make an impact with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
He has been scoring goals, but the goals have not led to success. He is yet to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria, and he is set to miss another World Cup.
However, he will be looking to make a difference at the 2025 AFCON. Osimhen was named in Eric Chelle's 55-man provisional list and would surely make the final 28-man list for the competition.
His main target will be to win the competition with Nigeria. That would solidify his legacy as one of the greatest strikers in Nigeria's history.
