Former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Los Angeles FC man Denis Bouanga are two of the biggest stars who are expected to be called up to Gabon's squad ahead of the continental World Cup playoffs in two weeks, Soccernet.ng reports.
In just about nine days, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will lock horns with Gabon for a spot in the final of the CAF World Cup playoffs.
It promises to be a thrilling encounter, considering that a rare World Cup ticket is at stake.
Nigeria have the slight upperhand going into the game, as they have a stronger squad on paper. Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman is good to go, alongside his predecessor Victor Osimhen, who knows how to turn up when the chips are down.
There are also other stars like Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Calvin Bassey, and Wilfried Ndidi.
