What finally convinced Victor Eletu to stay at AC Milan

AC Milan midfielder and Nigerian youth international Victor Eletu has resolved doubts about his future at the club after signing a new contract, Soccernet.ng reports.

This follows months of uncertainty over the Flying Eagles' developmental path in Italy.

A source close to the situation revealed in an exclusive interview with Africafoot that Eletu, whose previous deal was due to expire in June 2025, had begun questioning his future at Milan.

Eletu's Future At AC MIlan

Despite spending several seasons training regularly with the AC Milan first team, appearing on the bench in Serie A and Europa League matches, and representing Nigeria at the U20 World Cup, Eletu reportedly felt uncertain about how the club intended to integrate him into senior football.

That uncertainty led to intense discussions with new Milan Futuro head coach Massimo Oddo, who is said to be a strong admirer of the player.

The outcome of those discussions was a contract extension until 2027, with the promise of a revision as things unfold.

The 20-year-old will now join the club’s newly established U23 side known as “Milan Futuro” where he is expected to feature regularly in Serie D, giving him valuable minutes as he works his way back from injury and targets a first-team breakthrough or loan move.

Victor Eletu's International Career

Eletu was named in Ladan Bosso's U-20 World Cup squad for the 23rd edition of the tournament.

Although, he recorded no goals in the tournament, he was crucial in their campaign, cut short by South Korea in the quarterfinal.
