The 2025 summer transfer window is still in full swing, and players across different nationalities, including Super Eagles stars, are changing clubs.

Some clubs are still pursuing deals to get better players to prosecute the new season. On the other hand, other clubs just need to switch up or move different parts of their squad to avoid breaking financial rules.

Super Eagles players have also been involved in the merry-go-round. In fact, some of the senior members of the Super Eagles squad have made big moves this summer.

The Biggest Super Eagles Players' Transfers This Summer

A good number of Super Eagles players have moved this summer, and more could still change clubs.

Star striker and talisman Victor Osimhen stands out, as he joined Galatasaray from Napoli in the most expensive transfer deal in the Turkish football history.

Winger, Moses Daddy Simon, also changed employers. He switched from Nantes to newly-promoted Paris FC. His transfer ended his eight-year stay at Nantes. He new deal at Paris FC is double his former salary with the Yellow Canaries.

Wilfred Ndidi has also changed clubs. He left Leicester City for Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas two weeks ago, also ending an eight-year stay with the Foxes.

Ademola Lookman is still an Atalanta player, but he is expected to make a move this summer, as Inter Milan want to sign him.

Asides from these stars other players in the Super Eagles roster like Frank Onyeka, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Paul Onuachu, Semi Ajayi, Chidozie Awaziem, and Jordan Torunarigha have switched clubs.

Will The Super Eagles Transfers Affect Eric Chelle's Squad Selection?

For sure, the Super Eagles transfer will affect the squad selection when coach Eric Chelle announces his players for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers next month.

For example, Onuachu, who just joined Trabzonspor got off to a flying start, as he scored in his second debut for the club.

He has been out of the Super Eagles squad for a while, but he should be able to get a place in the squad. With Tolu Arokodare struggling at Genk, Onuachu should return.

Meanwhile, Osimhen and Lookman will likely still retain their place. Lookman's transfer saga does not look like it will be sorted soon.

But even though he is not playing games at the moment, Lookman is still a sure bet to make Chelle's team. There is no Nigerian winger that is better than him at the moment.

The other top players like Moses Simon, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Wilfred Ndidi, who have moved, will likely retain their spots on the team, as they have regular starting shirts at their clubs.

Then, Benjamin Fredrick, who just left Brentford’s youth team for Dender is expected to get called up.

When he was invited to the Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup in June, he was very impressive.

Now that the 20-year-old is getting minutes senior team minutes at Dender, he is likely to get a call-up from Chelle next month.

More Super Eagles players might change clubs in the coming days, and their moves could affect their selection for the national team.
