Super Eagles and KRC Genk striker Tolu Arokodare is keen on making a switch to the English Premier League before the transfer window slams shut, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old forward has been second choice to Hyeon-gyu Oh at the Cageka Stadium after winning the Belgian Pro League Golden Shoe.

The South Korean was promised the starting position ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign, with Arokodare expected to move on to a bigger club. However, the Nigerian striker is still at Genk, playing as a squad player.

Arokodare has been linked with Atalanta, Napoli, Fulham, VfB Stuttgart, and even Borussia Dortmund, but nothing concrete has surfaced, and the lanky forward is frustrated.

Arokodare‘s move banks on Isak‘s transfer

Newcastle United‘s Alexander Isak has insisted he will no longer train with the club until they choose to grant his desire to join Liverpool.

The Swedish striker has not played any game this season, and Eddie Howe has fielded Anthony Gordon as a false nine in his side's opening two games.

As a result, the Magpies have submitted a bid to Wolves for Norwegian striker Jorgen Strand Larsen as they prepare for Isak's departure.

As per Het Nieuwsblad, Wolves are preparing an opening offer for Arokodare. The Nigerian forward was scheduled to start Genk's game against Lech Poznan, but that might not happen as the transfer might take place anytime soon.

The Belgian club is asking for around €25m, including bonuses, and a deal can likely be reached in due time, but only if Liverpool submits a bid that'll be accepted by Newcastle for Isak.

On the flip side, Genk are also eyeing 20-year-old Cameroon striker Aaron Bibout as a replacement for Arokodare. The Genk Jong product is expected to fully step up into the first team once a sale for Arokodare is sanctioned.
