Inter Milan have been heavily-linked with Ademola Lookman for about three weeks, but the parties involved are yet to reach an agreement…

Former Italy striker Alessandro Altobelli has advised Inter Milan to go all out to sign Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, Soccernet.ng reports.

Since last year, Lookman has been linked with multiple clubs. But since the turn of the year, it has been clear that he will leave Atalanta this summer.

This summer, the 27-year-old Nigerian left-winger has been linked with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham.

But none of these clubs made an offer until three weeks ago, when Inter Milan expressed interest in signing the former RB Leipzig man.

They even agreed on personal terms with Lookman, but they have failed to meet Atalanta's valuation.

Inter Milan tabled an initial bid of €45 million, but Atalanta want €50 million at least before they consider a sale.

Ademola Lookman Pushes For Inter Milan Move, Goes on Strike

Ademola Lookman has wanted to leave Atalanta since last season, but they didn't let him leave then.

However, coming into this season, there was an agreement in place for the Super Eagles star to leave if a satisfactory bid came in.

Unfortunately for Lookman, Inter Milan's €45 million offer is the only bid that has come in this summer, and it was rejected, as it is below Atalanta's valuation.

Following Atalanta's decision to reject that bid, Lookman took action to show his displeasure. He unfollowed them on Instagram, and deleted all the pictures of him in Atalanta's colors.

The former Everton man also openly confirmed, via a social media post, that he had submitted a transfer request to Atalanta.

Lookman has also refused to train with the rest of his teammates and has gone away without leave (AWOL), a move which has angered Atalanta.

Apparently, Lookman is desperate to join Inter Milan, but the Nerazzurri are yet make a second bid.

1982 World Cup Champions Tells Inter Milan To Do The Needful

As the Ademola Lookman saga drags on, Alessandro Altobelli, who won the 1982 World Cup with Italy, has advised Inter Milan to go all out to sign Lookman.

Altobelli, who spent 11 years in Nerazzurri colours, believes Lookman will be a key player for Cristian Chivu if the move happens.

“Inter need that final piece up front to be competitive. And I'm obviously referring to Lookman, the man who can shake things up and allow Chivu to form a dream attacking trio,” Altobelli told Gazzetta dello Sport, per Napoli Magazine.

“Lautaro is one of the top three or four strikers in Europe, a Ballon d'Or nominee, a man who gives his all. But without the Lookman, they'd still lack that extra man to challenge Conte.”

Inter Milan are expected to make a second bid for Lookman. But if they don't, Arsenal are rumoured to be monitoring the situation and could make a bid if they don't get their main targets.
