Super Eagles attacker Kelechi Iheanacho has been linked with a move from Sevilla to join Turkish giants Besiktas…

Former Nigerian international Dominic Iorfa has urged Kelechi Iheanacho to embrace a move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş, Soccernet.ng reports.

Iorfa, who donned the colours of Galatasaray between 1991 and 1992, insists it could be the spark the forward needs to rediscover his best form.

Iheanacho’s move from Leicester City to Sevilla has seen him fall down the pecking order, resulting in a loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Dominic Iorfa: Ex-Super Eagles on Iheanacho's Turkey Move

Speaking to Footy-Africa, Iorfa said the Sevilla forward’s career has lacked stability in recent years but believes Turkey would give him the ideal platform for a resurgence.

“Turkey will be a nice place for him to go and show what he can do because I believe he still has a lot in him,” Iorfa stated. “He has not been stable for a while, and I think that in Turkey, especially with Beşiktaş, he will finally get back among the goals.”

Will Iheanacho Settle Easily in Turkey?

With Wilfred Ndidi already in Istanbul following his recent switch from Leicester City, and several other Nigerians plying their trade in Turkey, Iorfa believes the Nigerian attacker will have no trouble settling in quickly.

“If the move materialises, I am sure the Beşiktaş fans will love him. He is a skilful player who can score and create goals. I hope he gets the move and returns to regular first-team football again,” he added.

Beşiktaş have reportedly been monitoring the forward’s situation at Sevilla, where the 28-year-old is valued at around €3 million.

A potential reunion with Ndidi could reignite the on-field chemistry that once flourished at Leicester City and in the Super Eagles shirt.
