New Victor Osimhen update set to end Liverpool and Man United hopes

Napoli-owned striker Victor Osimhen appears to have put an end to swirling transfer rumours linking him with Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.

Fresh reports from Italy and cited by Turkish media outlets, Fotomac, claim the Super Eagles forward is keen to remain at Galatasaray.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen has already communicated his desire to extend his stay with the Turkish champions after accepting a lucrative offer reportedly worth €16 million per year, via CalcioMercato.

The striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray, and it seems both the player and the club are eager to make the move permanent.

Galatasaray’s push to secure the Super Eagles star on a full transfer has reportedly attracted significant backing from club sponsors, who are prepared to step in to help trigger his €75 million release clause at Napoli.

This development could be a major blow to Manchester United and Liverpool, both of whom have been monitoring Osimhen’s situation closely this summer in a bid to bolster their attacking options.

While no official agreement has been announced, Osimhen’s preference to continue with Galatasaray may put an end to the long-running transfer saga.

Teams Target Victor Osimhen: A Transfer Battle

Despite Galatasaray’s push to keep Osimhen, several top European clubs—most notably Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea—have kept tabs on the prolific striker.

The Premier League giants view the Nigerian as a proven goal scorer who could lead their frontline for years to come.

Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi clubs have also expressed interest earlier, but it appears Turkey currently holds the upper hand.

England: Will Osimhen Choose Turkey Over the Premier League?

Choosing Galatasaray over a move to England would surprise many, considering the prestige and financial power of Premier League sides.

However, Osimhen’s recent acceptance of a €16 million-per-year deal suggests personal satisfaction, and strong fan culture in Turkey may be swaying his decision.

With Champions League football and guaranteed playing time at Galatasaray, the move could offer more than just money for the Super Eagles attacker.
