Samuel Chukwueze: LaLiga minnows offered chance to sign Super Eagles star

Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has been linked with a transfer away from AC Milan this summer, and the Spanish LaLiga has emerged as a potential destination, Soccernet.ng reports.

Chukwueze has struggled at AC Milan since arriving at the club two years ago. The Super Eagles winger has contributed eight goals and six assists in 69 appearances for the Rossoneri. However, most of his appearances have come off the bench.

Chukwueze has worked under three coaches at AC Milan, and he has been a peripheral player under all of them.

The Rossoneri now have a new coach, Massimiliano Allegri after sacking Sergio Conceicao at the end of last season, and he is expected to make some big changes to the team this summer.

Earlier on Soccernet.ng reported that Chukwueze had been deemed as surplus to requirements at AC Milan. As such, he will likely leave.

LaLiga club Villarreal and English Premier League side Fulham have been linked with the Super Eagles star in the last six months, but they have not made a move.

Now, Chukwueze's camp seem to have taken matters into their hands. According to El goldigital, Chukwueze's agent has offered him to LaLiga side Mallorca.

Los Piratas need a winger and fancy the idea of signing Chukwueze, albeit it is unclear whether they want a loan or an outright buy.

Mallorca have been a consistent mid-table side since gaining promotion to the LaLiga in 2021. Since then, they have finished 16th, 9th, 15th, and 10th in the Spanish top-flight.

Signing a young player like Chukwueze, who has played for top clubs like Villarreal and AC Milan, would definitely give them a significant boost, considering what he can offer on his good day. But there could be a problem.

Can Mallorca sign Samuel Chukwueze?

Mallorca might have issues with signing Samuel Chukwueze this summer. The Super Eagles star is currently valued at €10 million on Transfermarkt, which is €2 million above the club's most expensive signing.

That could put them off, as they would have to sell an important player to be able to afford Chukwueze.

Nonetheless, they could explore the possibility of a loan. But it is unknown if AC Milan will accept that.
