President of Getafe, Angel Torres, has given an update on one of his most coveted players, Christantus Uche, amidst links to other top clubs, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 22-year-old had a stellar campaign in the La Liga last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists from midfield for Jose Bordolas' side

Uche's boisterous performances in the centre of the park have seen him garner interest from Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Newcastle, and newly promoted EPL side, Sunderland.

The towering Super Eagles midfielder is rated €15m by Transfermarkt, and with interest soaring, it is expected he'll depart Getafe before the season starts.

However, the club's president has given a hint about where the two-cap Super Eagle might end up this summer.

“Uche doesn't even know what he wants; it all depends on how he gets up,” Angel Torres said in quotes revealed by Ceuta TV.

“Tomorrow, if he comes, we'll talk to him. He's clear that he wants to go to the Premier League.

“He has offers from Italy, but I don't know why, he wants to go to the Premier. He will tell us from tomorrow.”

Christantus Uche made his debut for the Nigerian National team in the 2025 Unity Cup final against Jamaica at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.
