The Super Eagles of Nigeria are slated to tackle Russia in an international friendly at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Eric Chelle's men will be looking to build on their last two victories at the Unity Cup when they face the Nashi Parni of Russia.

The Malian gaffer, although unable to get hold of all his best legs for this fixture, has called on a few seasoned players, as well as emerging talents who will be looking to put on a show.

Here are five players to watch when Nigeria face the 2018 World Cup hosts:

1. Victor Boniface

After a stellar Bundesliga campaign with Bayer Leverkusen, Boniface enters this tie with the aim of making a positive impact and extending his goal tally for the Nigerian national team.

So far, he has scored just one goal and provided one assist—a number the Nigerian football community has begun to murmur about.

2. Benjamin Fredrick

The teenage centre-back delivered a composed performance against Jamaica in the Unity Cup final. Calm on the ball and defensively aware, the game against Russia will be another big test. A strong showing could further elevate his place in the squad ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

3. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

The midfielder has been on the rise with his work rate for Lazio in the just-concluded season. His ability to carry the ball and shoot from range will be crucial against a disciplined Russian midfield.

4. Bright Osayi-Samuel

Osayi-Samuel will be tasked with unsettling Russia’s defence. Whether deployed at full-back or further forward, his ability to beat defenders in 1v1 situations will be vital in this clash.

5. Chrisantus Uche

The surprise star of the Unity Cup, Uche came off the bench to impress against Jamaica. He offers an eye for goal. If he gets minutes in Moscow, he could be Nigeria’s X-factor.
