The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled a bold new look for the Super Falcons, as the former queens of African women’s football gear up for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, Soccernet.ng reports.

The home and away kits, designed in collaboration with global sportswear giant Nike, were officially revealed via the NFF’s official X handle on Wednesday, May 14.

Accompanying the announcement were striking promotional images showcasing a design that blends contemporary flair with deep cultural symbolism.

“New kit. Same pride,” the NFF posted. “The @NGSuper_Falcons’ new jersey is here — bold, fearless, and made for champions.”

The home jersey features a white base splashed with expressive green brushstroke patterns across the front and sleeves — a design that evokes traditional Nigerian body art and heritage textiles.

The design captures a vibrant sense of movement and energy, symbolising unity, strength, and the storytelling traditions embedded in Nigerian culture.

The away kit takes a darker, more understated route with a deep green base and subtle textural detailing. Contrasting neon green accents on the crest, Nike swoosh, and “Naija” branding beneath the collar add a sharp edge to the otherwise minimalist palette.

The home version mirrors this layout but uses black and white for these detailing elements, allowing the green patterning to stand out.

The fresh kits are more than just apparel — they are a statement of identity. As the most decorated team in African women’s football history, with 11 continental titles to their name, the Super Falcons are set to wear these designs with pride as they pursue further glory.

While the NFF has yet to announce a release date for public sales, fans have already begun clamouring for their chance to wear the vibrant new look.

The jersey drop arrives just weeks before WAFCON kicks off in July, adding to the anticipation surrounding the tournament. It’s a visual declaration that the Super Falcons are not just ready to compete — they’re ready to lead.

South Africa are the defending champions of the competition.
