Super Eagles and Werder Bremen defender, Felix Agu, has told Soccernet.ng the Nigerian footballer he adored while growing up.
The 25-year-old represented Germany at the U-21 level but was recently cleared to switch allegiance to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, although he didn't feature in their 2-1 win over Ghana in the Unity Cup semi-final.
In an interview with Soccernet.ng, the former VfL Osnabruck defender revealed he played offensively as a younger footballer, hence, he didn't look up to any Nigerian defenders growing up.

“I didn't particularly look up to defenders, it was more of looking up to players like Jay-Jay Okocha when I was younger because I wanted to be more offensive, but when i stepped back it wasn't Nigerian defenders I looked up to,” the attacking full-back revealed.
Quizzed about his favourite memory of the Super Eagles, Agu chose Nigeria's 3-2 loss against Argentina in the final group game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup at the Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
“The most of the memories I have are from the World Cup games that I watched was maybe the game against Argentina where Ahmed Musa scored two goals and I always thought we might win, it was such a great game.”
“To go back and forth with a team like Argentina that had Messi shows how much of a great game it was,” Felix Agu concluded.
