Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and Anthony Nwakaeme will face off in the final of the Turkish Cup as Trabzonspor beat Goztepe 2-0 on Thursday to set up a date with Galatasaray who qualified earlier, Soccernet.ng reports.
Two days ago, Osimhen nicked a goal and an assist for Galatasaray as they waltzed past Konyaspor in a 5-1 victory in the first semifinal of the Turkish Cup. However, they needed to wait for the result of the second semifinal between Trabzonspor and Goztepe.
Going into the tie, Trabzonspor were always the favorite due to their superior quality, and they got the win. Nigerian striker Nwakaeme also played for Trabzonspor and he assisted the second goal and they cruised to a straightforward 2-0 win at the Papara Park.
