It was another eventful night for Nigerian footballers plying their trade across the globe on Friday, April 11, with standout performances from Super Falcons star Jennifer Echegini and Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

In Spain's La Liga, Umar Sadiq played an hour for Valencia as they earned a crucial 1-0 home win over Sevilla to bolster their survival chances.

Chidera Ejuke came off the bench for the visitors but couldn’t prevent the defeat at the Mestalla.

Over in Italy, AC Milan delivered a resounding 4-0 away win at Udinese.

While Samuel Chukwueze remained an unused substitute, Maduka Okoye was between the sticks for the hosts, enduring a tough outing as Milan ran riot at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine.

In France, Reims gave their Ligue 1 survival hopes a boost with a 2-0 away win at Lens.

Nigerian duo Hamzat Ojediran and Hafiz Ibrahim featured in the second half for Lens and Reims respectively, with the visitors climbing out of the drop zone — at least provisionally.

In the women’s French Première Ligue, Jennifer Echegini was in scintillating form, grabbing a goal and an assist as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Stade de Reims 6-1.

It was Echegini’s fifth league goal in 14 appearances since joining from Juventus last summer. She also boasts two goals in three Coupe de France Féminine outings and will feature in the final against Paris FC, home to fellow Nigerian Chiamaka Nnadozie.

In Algeria, Kingsley Eduwo calmly converted a penalty to hand ES Sétif a 1-0 away win at ASO Chlef. The former youth international now has three goals in five league appearances since arriving in January.

Elsewhere in Austria, 21-year-old centre-back Chibuike Nwaiwu was sent off in the 81st minute, but his Wolfsberger AC side still managed a 2-1 away win at Blau-Weiß Linz.

In Egypt, Favour Akem and Tolulope Ojo were the stars for El Gouna in a 2-1 win at ZED. Akem opened the scoring in the 28th minute and later assisted Ojo’s winner just three minutes after ZED equalised in the second half.

In Hungary, Bright Edomwonyi struck an 89th-minute winner to seal a comeback 2-1 victory for Diósgyőr over struggling Kecskemét.

In Saudi Arabia, Saviour Godwin delivered the assist for Al Okhdood’s only goal in their 1-1 draw with Al Taawoun.

And in Turkey, Victor Osimhen continued his red-hot form, scoring his 29th goal of the season and playing a decisive role in Galatasaray’s 2-0 win at Samsunspor.
