Super Eagles and Southampton stars, Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo, have seen their season go deeper into a hole of tragedy after their club parted ways with their head coach, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Saints made history on the negative side over the weekend, becoming the quickest side in the history of the English Premier League to be relegated to the EFL Championship.
Southampton have won just two of their 31 league games this season, accruing just twelve points, which is poor by all recognizable standards.

0.29 – Southampton have picked up just four points in Ivan Jurić’s 14 Premier League games in charge (W1 D1 L12), giving the Croatian the lowest points-per-game average of any manager to take charge of 10+ games in the competition (0.29). Unsaintly. pic.twitter.com/nEwTfRfwgd

In the meantime, Simon Rusk has agreed to take charge of the team as Interim Manager for the remaining seven fixtures of this season and will be assisted by former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, who appears to be stepping into a player-coach role.
Juric was Southampton’s second coach this campaign after the Saints sacked Russell Martin in December. For Onuachu and Aribo, conversations about their future at the club will suffice.

With just pride left to play for, the Saints will be hoping to put on a display worthy of excellence in their remaining league games this campaign.
